I got hold of some
Capsaicin
cream and have been using that so am hoping that might help. I am self employed as a cleaner so my job definitely does not help but i am not in a position to give it up, any advice on diet or anything else that helps with this condition would be great.

Neuropathic pain in hands
Having run out of options to treat this condition I am interested to know if anyone has tried
capsaicin
(cayenne piment) which I have heard can give relief up to three months but it has to be administered in a hospital pain clinic here in France.

Been to the doc's
Tests to confirm SLEEP APNOEA- Refferal to sleep clinic Also had a check up for my osteoarthritis - As the NSAIDs have not been as effective as would have hoped, I have now been prescribed
capsaicin
cream - which will have to be rubbed in by Steph as I can't reach/see below my belly button.

Qutenza
Hi all as any body had qutenza patches because next week my pain specialist is going to try these patches on my arm and stump and my right ankle, i believe one of the ingredient is a synthetic form of
capsaicin
the compound that gives chilli peppers their heat sensation.

Update on Mum's Knee
One thing that did come out of my consultation with the Consultant was the use of
capsaicin
cream at 0.025% which could help the pain and could be bought without a prescription (there is a stronger version which is prescription only).

Sacroiliac joint arthritis
Am taking an opiate, using TENS, and applying
Capsaicin
patches for relief of the pain that I still have. From a website yesterday I learned the internal healing of a RFA treatment such as I have had requires about three months to heal.

I might also ask gp if I can have another go at prescription-strength
capsaicin
, which I found tremendously effective but it aggravated my skin, despite using E45 first, as recommended.

Chilli vs Substance P, that which causes our pain. Seemingly, Chilli wins. Anyone heard of this?
Chilli contains
Capsaicin
, ingredient in anti-inflamatories. Remember to wash your hands, and don't touch eyes or other sensitive areas.. Will try it out and let you know.

Capsaicin cream and night sweats don't mix..!
If you have experienced night sweats, let's just say the
capsaicin
cream will quick alleviate your explore of FM... Fast... As you end up burning to a crisp! I I had to wake DH up at 3am to help me get it off my back and neck. I looked like a cooked lobster! Finally, ice packs helped...
