Ibrance letrozole along with T.B medicine

My mother has started ibrance and letrozole combo for past 2 months.she jas mbc in lungs.she has been diagnosed with T.B as well.will Tuberclosis medicine effect the ibrance

Hi therePlease do not take this reply as gospel as it is my basic knowledge of respiratory medicine only. I think treatment for TB is with antibiotics and antibiotics can make the side effects of Ibrance stronger. Treatment for TB is usually for about 3-6 months (I think).

Does she have side effects now from the Ibrance? I suppose all you can do is see how she gets on with them.TB can go away by itself, although it can return. It can lie dormant for years in people and then activate, which might be what has happened as your Mother’s immune system is probably weaker.

Yes,because of ibrance ..immune system got week.As of now she is able to tolerate 125mg ibrnace .

That’s good. I’ve been on 100 mg for over a year now
