Hi
There was a recommendation several months ago for a sympathetic Consultant at Liverpool Spire for RLS. Can anyone recollect who the person was?
Many thanks in advance

I am afraid I cannot be of help to you with this. Maybe Joolsg will be able to help. Problem being I have a small list but we are finding neurologists/consultants listed are becoming well out of date with their RLS knowledge so my list is becoming even shorter.
I must have missed that post. Hopefully the member who posted will reply. Before you pay ANY money to a private neurologist, first ensure they are aware of augmentation and the dangers of dopamine agonists. If any neurologist tries to switch you to another dopamine agonist, it shows they are very outdated in their knowledge. Also, if they don't arrange iron infusions for low serum ferritin, or low dose opioids to help patients to get off Pramipexole or Ropinirole or Rotigitone, then keep looking for an experienced neurologist.
Sadly, there aren't many in the UK.
There was a Liverpool recommendation four years ago, check with HilsK whether still recommended. I cant see a more recent one:healthunlocked.com/rlsuk/po...
There have been several more recent recommendations but they have been for Dr Thomas at Spire *Cardiff*:

Dr Thomas is very good, but being in Wales he cannot prescribe for England: he will make recommendations as to what your English doctor should prescribe
