Orthostatic Hipotension (OH): Is there any known association between OH and PSP?

Hi,

I’ve checked my blood pressure during a couple of hours: when standing up and during a 2 km walk (using a portable measuring device).

I’ve concluded that as soon as I stand up there’s a big drop in my diastolic pressure, from 80 to 45 mmHg. It maintains like this during a long period and tends to increase and go back to normal as I keep walking.

Googling the internet I could find that this may be a situation called “Orthostatic Hypotension”.

Is there any known association between OH and PSP?

Kind regards. Keep safe.

Good Morning. My mom passed away last year from PSP. One of her symptoms (which lead to a misdiagnosis of heart trouble) was Orthostatic Hypotension. Once we found a competent Movement Disorder Specialist, they indicated OH as related to PSP in her case. OH also may have been a cause of some of her falls as well.

Best wishes to you on a difficult journey ahead.
