I am currently 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my ivf miracle baby. I don’t feel like I have many symptoms . I have sore breasts in the morning and occasional cramping was worse over the last few weeks . I sometimes feel sickly but not nauseous or being sick. I don’t feel like I’m really tired but do fine I’m falling asleep on sofa at night . Don’t feel like I’m urinating more than usual but drinking lots of water. I’ve been doing hcg test and they still strong lines on the tests. I also feel like my bloated belly has gone aswell. I am taking cyclogest (progesterone ) pessaries twice a day as advised by my clinic but I know that these can cause sore breasts and pregnancy symptoms. Has anybody else experienced this or had hardly any symptoms ? I’m definitely a over thinker and just so worried about a missed miscarriage. I do have a scan in a couple of days but finding it hard to think about a positive outcome.

6 weeks pregnant and hardly any symptoms …
hi sazzyt123
I was in the same boat as you at the beginning of my pregnancy. I had symptoms come and go with my symptoms only becoming more intense at 10 weeks (vomiting and fatigue). Although my pregnancy was not via ivf this time around, I realised that everyone has symptoms differently so please try not to worry.
I now have a healthy 8 week old and that was despite no clear symptoms to begin with. Fingers crossed for you and your scan 😊 x
Hello, huge congratulations. Honestly I had no symptoms at all at that point. The only thing I noticed was that I was sleepy and liked a wee nap in the evening. I had very little symptoms through most of my pregnancy xxx
Hi and congratulations on your pregnancy! Pregnant after IVF too and know the worries that come with it all too well. Sore breasts were my main symptom at 6 weeks too. I don't think they are caused by the progesterone because I had them from pretty early on but didn't have them with my failed FET. I wasn't nauseous until about 8 weeks and I know women who never develop the nausea at all. I know it is nerve wrecking but my best advice is take it one day at a time and try to believe in yourself and your little embie. You have come far and you can do it!
I would say sit back and enjoy not having the symptoms yet of early pregnancy. They kicked in with me around 8-9 weeks and lasted pretty strong until around 14 -16 weeks. I had a relatively easy pregnancy with both of mine so can't complain, but if/when those symptoms do start, you'll be glad you didn't have them longer Congratulations and enjoy it as much as you can xx
I also had quite mild symptoms - minimal nausea, fairly mild but quite frequent cramps and backache, tiredness and fatigue. At 9 weeks I had a terrible migraine and once it cleared, most of my other symptoms had gone too. Since then (now 14 weeks) I've mostly had headaches and migraines and occasional cramps. It's different for everyone but try not to worry about it, it sounds like your experience is common for pregnancy. I hope your scan goes well!!
I had barely any symptoms at all with either of my pregnancies. My second I had a few cramps at around 11 weeks, but that was it. I understand your worries, it seems like it takes forever waiting for that first scan. Congratulations and good luck on your pregnancy x
Hey @sazzyt123
I know this is easier said than done but try not to worry. I had similar, minimal symptoms with my IVF baby… tender breasts but no sickness at any point, and some fatigue in the evenings but nothing out of the ordinary during the day. Happy to say that all was well and my little one arrived this spring. Take it easy and I hope you’re able to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy x
You are complaining about lack of symptoms but you have them all:
- sore breasts
- cramping
- feeling sickly and a bit tired
What more would you ask for? 😄
Those are the symptoms of very early pregnancy.
Not all pregnancies are difficult.
You are doing grand - just relax, be happy, laug 😉
Good luck
I'm currently 6 weeks and I stopped feeling symptoms and I'm an IVF transfer patient. Did your pregnancy progress? I'm so nervous but I don't want to freak myself out
Hello! I was feeling exactly the same way. I think symptoms are meant to be most apparent between weeks 8 and 12 of pregnancy. I’m currently week 10, went and got a private scan 2 weeks ago to put my mind at ease also which really helped. Other than a bit of nausea and tiredness I have no symptoms still! The scan is the best plan to put your mind at rest. Also, I think LOADS of people feel exactly this way so you aren’t alone.
Hi Sazzyt123,
Congratulations on your pregnancy 😍 I was the same at the start of my pregnancy, although not IVF ( I kept retaking tests!) but then all of a sudden my symptoms came in full force at around about 7 weeks.
Easy to say "try not to worry" but that doesn't always help. I would suggest getting out the house, good rest when you can and enjoy this little bubble of new life xx
