Six days ago i thought the back pain was, after three months, fading away. Not so, unfortunately. I am writing down everything I eat to see if a new friend from here can give me some advice. This morning it is very painful. Since i am away from my country and doctor I will wait until May to see him, and have a scan, blood tests and bone density waiting to be done then. Until then, i would love to be able to take something that is not harmful.
What a time, dear me…

Hello! This is Donna. I am starting to facilitate the group today. I know many people who have PBC have a great deal of back and overall joint pain. Here in the US, doctors do not agree on Tylenol vs Ibuprophen for pain. Many experts say take what works for you but half the recommended dose of Tylenol. Seems like a long time to wait until May for you being so miserable. I would hope you could get some xrays done before that just to make sure it isn't something else that needs some attention. Heat or some recommended physical therapy maybe?
Thanks, Donna, i just had a total body CT scan before i came to the US, so that is that. My friend from Ontario just arrived and i asked her to bring Robaxacet as it has an anti inflammatory in it. That may help.
just be careful taking any anti inflammatory meds. those with liver disease really shouldn't take NSAIDS. They are "hard' on the liver. Make sure your liver doc approves what ever you are thinking about taking. I hope you find some relief.
