Hi, my scan said I have a 1 cm lymph node at hepatic hilum, I assume that means its

swollen - I have PBC and Sjogrens. My doctor and consultant never mentioned it when

they diagnosed me and I forgot to ask. Anyone else had this?

Hi. Following a MRI scan in 2012 I was found to have enlarged lymph nodes in the ports hepatis and paracardiac group. According to my consultant and I quote "it is felt that these are part and parcel of pbc and no further action or intervention is required" I have certainly had no problems since then. Hope this helps.

Hi, my experience is the same as jillmc. I have 2or 3 enlarged lymph nodes. My consultant and radiologist just keep an eye on the size through a once yearly ultrasound. However they too feel its part and parcel of having pbc.

Hello I too was given a scan as I had terrible abdominal pain as well as gallstones they found I too had swollen Lymph nodes, I was sent to another hospital in Edinburgh to see another doctor who did endoscopy then aspirated and biopsy of said lymph nodes. Result nothing sinister and conclusion it's all to do with the PBC. That was 10 months ago I'm now getting my gallbladder out soon .

Hi! I has CT scan last year and abnormal lymph nodes were discovered in my abdominal area. Had repeat scan since and no change in size thankfully. Referred to Gastro and he decided not to biopsy but to repeat scan in couple of months. Your posts are reassuring that it is part of pbc and I am relieved to believe that! Take care.

I had lymphoma and was told it was normal to have enlarged lymph nodes with PBC but it was obvious that mine were different. A CT scan confirmed this so I would not worry.

It's how I was diagnosed with pbc in2013.raised lymph nodes on liver and pancreas plus slightly high ggt.had ct MRI and ultra sound scans but no change.just seen consultant again today and mentioned them.said its due to the inflammation with pbc just like you would have raised nodes with a sore throat.apparently very common
