I think when your husband goes for his transplant assessment one of the questions they ask is what type of donor he would accept? So I'm guessing its the transplant unit you need to talk to - but I suspect they will want to assess his suitability first.

My thoughts are with you - take care

I didn't know that thank you Val02. We are just in the process of getting him put on the list at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. I will keep that in mind. Thank you for your support.

I am looking in to the same thing, the hospital I attend said they can do it, I am O type blood, as long as your husband is the same (doesn't matter if it's positive or negative) then he could be a potential living donor. X

Hi Jill68, I think I am O type, I don't know what blood type he is but I think there has to be a tissue match also, I want to give half of my liver to him. I will talk to the hospital about it. Thank you.
