Recently been put on nefopam due to night pains because of hip and back pain. Does anyone else suffer sweats from nefopam? I'm trying to rule them out as on other meds too.

Side effects of nefopam sweats
Morning.I had Nefopam after my hip replacement and it did the job on pain relief, but never had night sweats from them.
Hi, I've been taking 3 x nefopam along with 2 x paracetamol for nearly a year along with lidocaine patchesTo be honest if i run out of patches the nefopam and paracetamol aren't worth taking as i am in agony!
Have you tried any patches from your doctor? I swear by the lidocaine they work for 12 hours
Hope this helps
Hello. No not tried Patches, the Nefopam I stopped some time ago now but Paracetamol doesn't give much relief at all from anything but minor pain does it.All Drs are different too, I need extra pain relief and Dr prescribed low dose Amitriptyline so as not to act as anti-depressant, but that did give me night sweats.
I have Rheumatology appt tomorrow and will chat to her about pain relief as I have PMR which is not getting better at all and the steroids she has me on I need to try to come off. We shall see.
Sounds like your back to Dr to get alternative if the night sweats are worse.
Thanks for your posting about “NEFOPAM”
I’ve was prescribed these by my doctor several years ago and still continue to take them every day.
I take 60mg - 3 Times a Day.
I can’t 100% answer your question about but I’m certainly going to investigate further because I have suffered from severe hot 🥵 sweats to the extent that in bed my pillow gets absolutely soaked every day.
The doctor checked my Testosterone levels and it showed via a blood test that my reading wasn’t even on the scale.
The doctor prescribed using a Testosterone Gell every morning to increase the levels.
Whilst this appears to help during the daytime I still sweat some nights plus the hot flushing during the daytime. You have made me think enough to look at the Nefopam and I will consider reducing them gradually to see if this improves the night sweats.
Thanks for making me think 🤔 and I wish you well. xx
