My aunty later last night felt like she couldn’t breath properly and was getting pain in her chest so ambulance was called. The docs first said it was water in the lungs then ruled that out. Then finally told her she had mini heart attack. We’re all shocked. None of us had ever heard of a mini heart attack before. Her heart level has gone really low .. down to 30. She might be taken to Blackpool.
Can anybody tell me more about these mini heart attacks? What doctors do and the stay in hospital?

Hi
I'm sorry BB I can't help you much but what I can say is that Blackpool is brilliant. My friends husband was taken there when he was taken ill while they was at the their caravan. He was admitted, had two stents put in within a day of him being there. My friend said vtgey were brilliant. Take care Lynne

Thanks for replying Oldham12/Lynne yes I do think taking her to Blackpool might be a good thing as they treat heart patients there. I just hope she recovers quickly without any complications
I haven't seen much written about 'mini heart attacks' but I wonder if they mean silent heart attack? Often women don't show the same symptoms as men, but most of the research and adverts about heart attacks are about men. I wonder if that is why they missed it at first. A lot of women go to A&E only to be told there isn't much wrong, it is probably a panic attack and then are sent home, only for them to be taken back by ambulance as an emergency later in the day.
I am sorry to hear your auntie is unwell, but it sounds like she is in good hands now.
I had 2 mini heart attacks in June 2018, if needed your aunt will get a stent put in, then she’ll be put on medication and given nitrolingual pump spray, I was taken into hospital by ambulance, spent 2 days & nights in hospital, that varies for everyone, all depends on when they can fit her in for the stent, I’ve had no problems since, I’ve had to use my spray a few times since but not had to go back to hospital, I went into hospital first thing on a Wednesday, had the stent put in on the Thursday, home Friday afternoon, she’ll just have to take her time with things, I didnt think I was having a heart attack as I get nerve pain in my left arm, so I thought it was that along with heartburn, so don’t worry too much x
Yes we’re thinking the same thing at the moment about the stent.. doctors are taking so long to come we’re bring doctors ourselves assuming n guessing things lol
Hi ! ask Drs to check her vitamin b12 , folate, iron studies, thyroid ,magnesium, Vit D , homocysteine, MMA. Levels .Unbeknown to most Drs vit B12 can cause chest pain , breathlessness, faints , slow or fast heart rate ,heart attacks , anxiety , exhaustion, seizures, Anaemia .Serum b12 below 500 requires treatment regardless of lab advice .Check info on b12awareness.org
She’s been taken to Blackpool hospital this evening. Don’t know. What they’ll do there. A stent maybe? Hopefully not a bypass
