Hi

Sorry to hear your really suffering,

I get bad migraines and the only thing that helps me is listening to calming music like they use for yoga, laid on my bed with my thick curtains blocking all the light out, and my favourite fragrance vanilla sprayed on my pillow.

Do google search for zen music, you can get free downloads.

I hope you get some ease soon.

Take care and angel blessings xx

Have you tried a sports physio/masseur? Might help relieve a lot of tension around the head and neck. Mot a cure but might help management. What have you tried?

I suffered with headaches for years , tried every medicine going finally the doctor gave me propranolol , a beta blocker, that's also helps with my anxiety and palpitation... Godsend

When I was 4 I had a fractured skull, and suffered from blinding headaches especially to the forehead area, I used to make my poor mother desperate to find a cure, as I was crying from 5.00 a m to late. She took me to many many Dr's, Consultants e t c all to no avail. Then an old neighbor told her to rub Eug de cologne on my temple, and it wored to some degree.

Then when I was 8, I was sent to a hospital where a lumber puncture was carried out, and for some reason I have seldom had a headache ever since. Why I don't now, perhaps some medical expert could explain?

I have no idea what therapies you have tried. How long have you had the chronic headaches? If they have occurred within the last two months insist that your GP considers a evaluation for possible cancer. Ie MRI scan x-rays etc.

Headaches can be brought on by the head not being well balanced on the top of the head. The head is relatively heavy and muscle trying to hold the head can lead to muscle spasms ie headaches.

Alexander Technique is a good way to explore the possibility of muscle inbalance and to learn to do something about it..

Thanks for reply, have had MRI and CT scan.Pain has been chronic for 3 years, getting worse as time goes by. Taking amitriptylene, which help me get a little sleep.

Physitherapy,Osteopathy,Chiropractor, acupuncture, hipnosis and too many healthy tabs. and diets

to list, none of these have given any relief to head pain.

Have been on waiting list for Pain Management Clinic for a year

Will try Alexander Technique

Have a chat with your local optician. There is a possibility that you could be having focusing problems. Ran in a little problem about a year ago where I found that I had to tighten my eyes to read. The problem took a year to sort out. I had wax on my eyelashes which distorted my vision a little bit. Did not know such a thing existed, but it appears to be not uncommon. Tightening your eyes if your are not aware of it can lead to headaches.

Muscles when tightened may not un-tense easily. Un-tense muscles cause pain after a period of time.

If your GP can't think of anything more to do, ask them to refer you to a neurologist.

You need to ask for a referral to a neurologist. If you are suffering still it is your right. My neuro has been able to try all sorts of treatment for my chronic cluster headaches and when none of the meds worked he tried an electronic stimulation treatment which has changed my life. Good luck to you - it's horrid being in pain I hope you find some relief
