Hi Harleboo, maybe you are constipated and need movicol or something similar, perhaps go back to the drawing board with your team. I suggest plenty of water and perhaps peppermint tea or the extra strong peppermints. No doubt about it chemo does upset our tummies.
I used to get alternately bound up and then rushing to the loo..no rhyme or reason I could find..it's just chemo! Even after chemo I would sometimes get urgency ..it really mucks up your system for a while but a year on from finishing I am back to normal xx
I started carib/taxol for a re occurrence on 8th Feb. The following Sunday I started with stomach cramps and running to the loo. I rang the chemo nurse who said it was a side effect of taxol and to use buscapan. By the Friday it still hadn't eased so I went to my GP who prescribed the buscapan and amitriptyline to help with nerve endings apparently. I still have a few niggles known again but nothing like the second week. Next chemo is on Wednesday so I have all the meds ready if it starts again. I didn't have these pains first time round.

Try taking Zoloft and Klonipin for stomach/bowel spasms - there are no side effects
