Well I finally got my 3rd Primary Vaccine today. Having given up at trying to get the jab through official channels I just turned up at a local drop-in centre and eventually found someone who knew what I was talking about. Went armed with letters from my Rheumatologist and Immunologist and the nurse got authorisation from the centre manager. So relieved as I now have a date for my left hip replacement on 2nd November. My surgeon wanted me to have jab before surgery as I am on Rituximab, prednisolone and metho as well as having Rituximab induced hypogammaglobulaemia, so severely immunosuppressed.
Now looking forward to being mobile and pain free for Xmas. Best wishes everyone.

I had mine yesterday, I phoned the helpline and was told to take my letter to the vaccine centre. Checked in at reception with no issues. When the nurse keyed my details in she said you can’t have it today,, as your not 6 months. Explained it’s a 3rd primary dose, which she was skeptical of, despite letter stating 8 week gap, but agreed to speak to her manager, who thankfully agreed. It’s been such a battle to get this dose, I had hoped to get it before my daughters wedding which was 10 days ago. I’m on 5 immunosuppressants for 2 different illnesses, It shouldn’t be this hard
So pleased you managed to get your third primary vaccine. Could I ask which letter says an 8 week gap as I'm having difficulty knowing how to get it, all I hear is a booster needs to be 6 months. I'm on retuximab and needing to get the third asap. I've not received a letter at all, but wondering if it mentions the 8 week gap on any official website that I can print off and take to a vaccine centre with me.
The letter has to come from your rheumatologist, but I’ve attached a screenshot of the template of the letter they send out. I had to get my MP involved as my rheumy refused to have anything to do with it. She contacted the CCG who contacted him and rapped his knuckles. All under his care have now been sent letters, and my names probably mud 😂
