Body stiffness

Hi all,

I’ve come home from work this eve and after a short rest have had all over stiffness, everything’s an effort, strength seems to have gone.

Is this a symptom of RA, perhaps a sign I’ve overdone things?

Errr in a word .. yes! It’s been warm today so always used to hit me harder when the weather was hot. Hope you sleep well and wake refreshed.

The answer is probably yes and yes. RD can and does cause crushing fatigue while it doesn't take much to overdo things. Quite often you don't even realise that you shouldn't have done so much until the lead weight of fatigue squeezes the energy out of you. It's horrible. If you google 'spoon theory' it helps explain the need to pace yourself. My sympathies are with you

It certainly can be a sign of overdoing things! My RA stiffness is really bad in the morning and then if ive done too much. Be a good idea to mention it to the doctor in case you need meds tweaking on your next visit. But i rest , take pain meds and use ice packs.

More than likely... but if it does not improve with rest, best get checked.
