A priority for us and an expectation from those we support is an easy to navigate, user friendly, informational website. We have all been working hard on improving how we provide information to our Members, supporters and the rheumatoid arthritis (RA) community, and we're excited about our new website and the new features that enable us to do this.
We will be posting videos throughout this week showing you the various new features and areas of our website, so keep an eye on our various social media accounts!
Please take a look around if you haven't already, we hope you love it as much as we do!
helixhelix Thanks for the feedback on the other post. My colleague, Nadine has forwarded that onto the website team for internal review and consideration. If you are still looking for the Facebook Live, you can find it on our website here (nras.org.uk/resource/freque... or on our Facebook page here: bit.ly/3qZKLrX (Shivam)
Hi KittyJ thanks for the feedback. Have you tried using the 'Resource Hub' as a starting point? It lets you find content based on who you are, topic and the type of content. If there's anything specific you were looking for and couldn't find, please do let me know and I'll be happy to help. (Shivam)
Hi Anita. Not great so far... I can’t get past the first page because I can’t see a lot to be able to navigate anything on my mobile ... a good third of the screen is taken up with asking me to accept cookies ... I have clicked to change the settings and I unselected... now what.. no idea how to get rid of this to be able to look at anything. A reject all button that many sites have would be helpful so it could then just close. It blocks being able to click on the chat bot. It blocks basically everything.
I find it really irritating when sites think by altering their presentation...then telling you how great it is......they think their readers are all waiting with bated breath to fiddle around to find what they want. I really think I am correct in saying we aren’t. I’m sure the very clever techies have inserted some lovely graphics ..but if I wanted to learn about visual presentation..I wouldn’t be looking here.
Of course we need progress online...but in this site I’d prefer it was about RA research...not computer know how.
Of course I haven’t looked at the site it may be wonderful!
But you never know...we might find what we want elsewhere....but I don’t think that was the intention ......was it?
Hi bubblyalex thanks for the feedback regarding the cookie banner. Is there any chance you could send me a screenshot via a direct message so I can look into it. Our website should be optimised for all mobile devices. (Shivam)
Not very easy to navigate. I wanted to find the covid info webinar with Dr James Galloway but no idea where to look. I found the webinar straight away on the Facebook page it’s much easier.
Hi, Downtime Hope you're well. Thank you for the feedback regarding the website. All our Facebook live sessions can be found on our Facebook page here: facebook.com/watch/national.... The one you're looking for specifically can be found here: facebook.com/91098402299/vi...
I'd recommend always checking our Facebook page for the most up-to-date broadcasts on COVID-19 (as well as other topics). They generally go on the website later. Hope that helps. If there's anything else I can help with, please do let me know (Shivam).
Hi Anita, the website looks great and is a big improvement and I look forward to your videos. Unfortunately the search function is still not satisfactory. I'll send you an email sometime soon.
Hi stbernhard appreciate your feedback. Would you be able to email us at website@nras.org.uk with the feedback regarding the search functionality? If you're able to include the search phrase you used and the results you expected - that'll allow us to investigate it properly. Any questions, please let me know.
Hello Shivam, I am very embarrassed and very pleased that it was me who got it wrong. My search criteria was "Dr James Gallway" instead of Galloway. So my fault entirely. I went through a dozen searches and found what I was looking for pretty quickly. So a vast improvement on the previous version. One thing I found: Search -> Videos->Webcasts-> Watch Webcasts-> Error 404. I'll give you more feedback when I have more time to go through the website properly. Congratulations so far. Thank you.
Hi Paula-C, the Members' Forum has been taken down for the time being as it was extremely out of date. We hope to bring you something bigger and better soon. If you're a current member, you should have had an email from our Membership Officer with some info on this as well as a link to a private Members' library.
If there's anything I can help with, please do let me know. (Shivam)
Thanks, just looked at the email. I'm afraid I don't look at my emails unless I'm expecting one. I'm going for the record, currently got just over 4,860 unopened ones. Will you still be able to access the old orginal forum? I'm talking about the one around 2012? I did a very in-depth blog on it, must of been over a year when I first started enbrel. I thought at the time it might help others deciding on what anti tnf to go on. Was disappointed when it wasn't transferred to the drug section of the forum that replaced it.
I use to be very active on the members forum, it was a very active group. It really dwindled away, long standing members who used the forum will know why. I'm just wondering if Nras decided to close it due to the small amount of people using it.
Hi Duster1979 hope you don't mind me copy-pasting a response from a similar query above your post.
