Hi,hope everyone is ok,can I ask if anyone else has suffered with high blood pressure whilst being on naproxen? My blood pressure has shot up in the last week and made me feel quite ill,I have never suffered with this before,I only take 1 a day as they upset my tummy but this has really frightened me....I do intend on ringing the doctor tomorrow as the nurse has advised me to monitor it for a week
Only been on it a month, but nearly passed out one day last week and have been experiencing blurred vision, lightheadedness for maybe 2 weeks,I did ask a question on here about that too,I got the pharamcist who works in our pharmacy at to take my pressure as doctor seems to only be phone consultations at present,my highest reading was 160 over 133 lowest was 145 over 105,nurse has asked me to monitor it for a week.....but as I do a physical job I am struggling at work. Just waiting for a call backagain this morning
Hi,I am not any meds yet for RA as I am still waiting for a hospital appointment after being reffered by my doctor and he prescribed these to help with the pain/swelling so everything is still new/scary at the moment
I’ve just changed from Etodolac to Naproxen and my blood pressure has gone down to normal. I hadn’t taken a reading for months so took it this morning after reading your post. I was so shocked when I saw how much it had come down. I think it was the Etodolac that gave me high blood pressure so I would definitely have a word with your doctor.
Whatever the cause you need to keep going to docs for bp check , or even better buy a machine to check it yourself at different times of the day then you can show Gp.
