itchy skin with red bumps and hives all ov... - Kidney Disease
itchy skin with red bumps and hives all over the body with proteinuria
What does the dermatologist say? It's his field of care. I would think since hives are involved, it's some kind of allergy. Ask your doctor if meds like oralBenadryl would help. Sorry for your distress. I use Benadryl gel to help with my itching, , but my skin is not as sensitive as yours.
I use ice when I itch, which i believe is from my kidney disease..(too much phosphorus)...I have found if I put ice bags on my feet it soothes my whole body.
I fill ziploc bags with 3 cups water and 1 cup 90% Rubbing Alcohol and keep in my freezer...The Alcohol keeps it from freezing solid so its like a nice slush and easy to mold around my feet and ankles..
I use Cerave Eczema Creamy Oil which I just happen to have in my medicine cabinet. One day I decided to try it and found that it helps.
I also developed a skin rash last year which GP said was ringworm! Treatment didnt help, made it worse. Inflamed and itchy. My kidney specialist said it was related to my kidneys, though most bloods was in normal range, but come summer the rash cleared. Unfortunately it came back this winter and worse. I saw another Gp who diagnosed me with psoriasis. Prescribed me a steroid Eumovate and I also use aveena intense hydrating lotion.Combination of these two have really helped and parts have cleared all together
