Mohs Surgery for Skin Cancer: Can patients... - Kidney Disease
Mohs Surgery for Skin Cancer
Talk with your surgeon. Without test and a diagnosis there is no way to know what is causing those symptoms. There are likely many possibilities.
Ultimately it's your decision to make. I think it wouldn't be wise to let cancer get a hold of you because of a maybe this or that. I am not saying to ignore your symptoms but I think that you need to prioritise. Self diagnosis is a risky business. My 2 cents.
Basal carcinoma in some cases can be treated with cryotherapy which doesn't require any anesthesia. It's matter of 2 minutes. You need to find a skilled skin doctor experienced on this treatment. Good luck
My wife has had many skin cancers removed (cryotherapy and MOHS) both prior and after kidney transplant. Get the skin cancer taken care of and see your nephrologist for the kidneys
First of all, you need to get the skin cancer taken care of ASAP. I know from other people the removal of skin cancer is not a major surgery...usually freeze the spot with cryotherapy. After you have this taken care of, you need to see a nephrologist to find our whether you do indeed have CKD or not. Usually, you have no symptoms at all until you have reached Stage5 and are in ESRD. So, I guess what I am thinking, that it could be something else. Regardless, you need to go see a doctor and find out what is going on.
Good luck with the skin cancer.
You say you have "many symptoms" of kidney disease - what are your symptoms? Have you had blood or urine tests recently to determine your eGFR, serum creatinine levels, etc? Have you been to a GP doctor lately who would do the tests to determine whether you have kidney disease or not? From your other posts, it sounds like you don't know yet for sure.
