Feedback from second Eyelea injection

This is the update to my earlier post about whether or not I would have a scan and the other routine tests before my second injection for MMD.

Thanks for all the advice and good wishes.

It turns out, I was down for 'the load' a d would have just had the injection today and nothing else. However, acting on the advice of some of you here, I queried the redness in my good eye, and was sent for retina imaging. As both eyes were photographef, the consultant was able to discuss the results of the first injection on my bad eye. The results were good. My right eye was also fine, though perhaps strained.

It was left to me to decide whether to have a second injection - what a decision as you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. I decided to go ahead with it.

We've agreed I won't have a load of three, just the two and my next review is in 6 weeks unless I have concerns.

That's great news Bgs, now you know there's no need to worry. I would have gone for the injection too though, like you. It's also good that you have a review in six weeks instead of eight, mine is six weeks from my last one on 23 July but I did have leakage (and I think it's started again too as I have occasional wavy lines again), so I will be ringing to see if they are going to do the OCT scans next time. All the best to you. x
