Hi 🙋♀️ folks - hope everyone has had a peaceful Christmas 🎄 it’s been very strange, we had such a quiet Christmas, I thought I had Covid and results came back Christmas Eve that was negative thank goodness but I’m still feeling unwell now, think I may have a sinus infection anyway I have some exciting news , my partner asked me to marry him the day before Christmas Eve- he couldn’t wait😂 I of course said yes proving that you can still find love in your 50’s ❤️ As from the new year I will be posting a Monthly Mira photo instead of Mira Mondays as you all must be fed up of seeing her every week 😂 Happy New Year 🥳 to you all and have a good week.
Almost forgot this picture of Bea and Mira is a painting that I had commissioned for my partner’s Birthday in January- I’m thrilled with it as am sure he will be too xx

Wow, wow, wow what a wonderful post. Firstly I love the portrait and I am sure that your partner will too. Secondly we could never get tired of Mira posts. Thirdly I am so happy that your Covid test was negative. Lastly omg congratulations lovely on your engagement. That is such fabulous news and a great start to the New Year 🍾🥂❤️. Photo please of the ring ❣️❣️❣️💍 xxx
Ahh thankyou Cecily - I was presented with a diamond 💎 which is going to be made into a ring, mind you my fingers are so swollen - I will post a pic of my ring when it’s been made - hope you had a good Christmas and that your asthma is under control xx
Oh that is so romantic. What a beautiful gift. I so look forward to seeing your ring when it is crafted. We had a lovely Christmas thank you. The breathing is better but had a bit of a relapse last night. It is the steroids I hate. Cramps, profuse sweating, insomnia gggrr. I am down to 40 mg now so I hope the side effects will ease a little xxx
Congratulations svfarmer on your proposal. Thats just wonderful and i hope you'll be able to get married soon in 2021 when its all more 'normal'. Love the portrait of Bea and mira. Im sure your partner will love it. When is his birthday in jan?. My dad's is new years day!.
Could never tire of seeing them but weekly is a big tie for you. Thank you for helping us thru this challenging time.
You must have been so scared it was covid but im sorry your poorly. Hope you feel better soon, its miserable not being well.
I had news from my U.S penpal on xmas eve that she'd got covid and im so worried about her but trying to carry on!.
Keep safe and warm, its gone so wintry suddenly and i hope you soon feel better. Xx
Thankyou Misty - we plan to get married summer 2022 in our garden as it is huge and we live in the country thought we would get Covid well and truly over with no restrictions . My partner’s birthday is 15th January, I think it’s so hard buying for men but I think he will really love the painting. I’m so sorry your pen friend is ill with Covid , hope they get better soon. It’s actually snowing here in Bristol today - I love the snow ⛄️- stay warm and well xx
Thats a wonderful idea svfarmer and clever to avoid covid completely in 2022. Its lovely to hear such good, happy news on forum and i hope you'll share your wedding photos with us too!. Busy time ahead planning it all.
I do so agree how difficult men are to buy for so im sure your fiancee( isnt that nicer to say), will love the bea and mira portrait. Hope you've got a special place to hang it. Its a lovely, different , special present.
Do hope you feel better soon. Keep warm and cosy. Hope the snow has stopped. Xx☃️❤☃️❤☃️❤☃️❤
Congratulations on your engagement! Wonderful to hear some happy news 👰🏼 🤵🏼 💍 Great that your Covid test was negative. It must have been awful waiting for the results. I could never tire of seeing Mira, (and Bea), photos. They are both adorable. I’m sure your fiancé will love his painting. Hope you had a lovely Christmas. We did despite having to have gammon for dinner. Opened the turkey and it was off 😢😢 Just as well we always have a backup. Quiet here in Scotland now all mainland are all in tier 4 lockdown until at least 11th January. Just hope that people stick to the restrictions as New Year is a big thing in Scotland with Hogmanay parties. Official ones are all cancelled and private ones are not allowed but I don’t think that will stop some people. Stay safe and Happy New Year when it comes. Xx 🐶 🐶
Thankyou so much. The only son I didn’t get to see is the one who lives in London as they are in tier 4 but saw the other 2 sons which was lovely. They were all thrilled with our engagement. Just as well you had a gammon for back up on Christmas Day - we got a fresh free range Turkey from Aldi and it was the best Turkey we’ve ever had. Yes I do hope that everyone sticks to the rules on New Year but expect a lot of people wont. Bea and Mira are both asleep on my lap as I type this message, it’s a good job they are small dogs 🐶🥰
Congratulations 🥳 🙌🏻 And the portrait is lovely 👍 I’m sure he will be thrilled. I think it just shows what people go through I have thought I’ve had covid but it’s just flares of the same old that go through constantly 🤷♀️
Hope you feel better soon and never get fed up of seeing Mira 🙌🏻🤗x
Sorry to hear you are still feeling unwell SV, but the Covid test being negative must have been a relief and I’m sure the proposal would have made you feel on top of the world! Congratulations! And the picture of Mira and Bea is fabulous. I bet your partner will love it! What a wonderful post and your news is the best I’ve heard all year! Keep us posted with the wedding plans and a picture of your ring. My very best wishes to you both. 🤗😘💕💕💕
