Hi can anyone help, I have sle, hypothyroid, hiatus hernia, keep throwing up about once a month for a few days unable to eat or drink for about a week, hot and freezing flushes and intense itching. Last week they also found my wee loaded with blood and white cells, I've been hospitalised twice in 6 weeks and still can't be told what's going on. I moved at the beginning of the year and my bloods keep taking a nose dive. Am on levothyroxine, hydroxychloroquine and azathioprine to name but a few.

I can only relate to the food problem because I have a narrowed oesophagus and dysmotility. I can't vomit but food can get stuck and unable to get into my stomach. The most important thing then is to ensure that fluid can get through. If you can't get fluid down and you are not urinating, or only very little it's a medical emergency. I'm not sure which consultants you have seen. As you have been hospitalised but not informed sbout what is going on, contacting PALS will help.
I had this for a very long time. Recently, I cut out all gluten and it has improved tremendously. Some of us can be very gluten sensitive, even without a true "allergy". It took me years to buy into this idea, and I wish I would have tried it sooner. I was even able to get off a couple of meds after being gluten free for a couple of months.
