Gemzar persons using this drug.

I was placed on Gemzar after 15 months of 3 chemo drugs not working. Anyone know this drug?

I was just put on it also since unable to use other chemo/radiation to fight new tumor. After one treatment, while I feel no effects like nausea or such, my red blood count is already down. That is one of the downfalls of it I think. Sure hope it shrinks the tumor.

Thank you for the reply. 3 weeks is my first. I still hav ed 2 days of radiation but they wait 3 weeks....thank you.....good luck on your end. God bless

You are welcome. I had to have a blood transfusion Wednesday, June 1st since my count was so low. Gemzar will bring it down. Best of luck to you in your treatment.
