I had liver cancer in 2018 and unfortunately have been told yesterday I have lung cancer and will be needing chemotherapy however they said I will need a stronger chemo because they are treating it as liver cancer that has migrated to my lungs. I wanted to ask if anyone else has had a stronger round of chemo and what that is. How long do they normally have it for. I am so upset by the news I was really hoping that it would be so rare for me to get it again but unfortunately that’s not the case. I suffer from very strong chest pain and back and shoulder and neck pain and feel breathless. But the chest pain is the worse does anyone else have these side effects and how do they treat it?

Hi Valentina_22 - I see you have posted twice no on Liver4Life without any reply - sadly this forum is very quiet and no one posts very much and certainly there have been no discussions about the various cancer treatments. It's probably wrong of me but could I signpost you to the British Liver Trust forum - also here on HealthUnlocked. They certainly have a much more active forum with members posting freqently and there are patients with all manner of conditions on there some of whom may be in the same/similar situation to yourself.
Admin don't pop up on here often either so there is no waymarking to their own support network, BLT does have a helpline with nurses on staff to answer calls.
Might be worth jumping over there too - a lot of us BLT members monitor the Liver4Life account just because it is so quiet and people don't seem to get a lot of support on here.
