It is considered safe, this came from the Endocrinologists
Hi, I have graves disease and had my 2nd vaccination a week ago.I had slight side effects after my 1st.Just felt a bit off it but have had no side effects at all after my 2nd one.Hope this helps.
Btw, how is your grave's? Are you in remission now?
Unfortunately not.I had to start my 2nd lot of block and replace last October after only stopping my tablets for 2 weeks. My t4 went back up to 69.I am now stable on 40mg of carbimazole and 100mcg levothyroxine per day. I haven't been told how long they'll let me stay on this.
Thank you for your reply. It really helps with my decision regarding taking the vaccine. This is the 3rd time that I had graves. The first 2 was terrible, but this time it was different. I have very little symptom and can work full time, unlike before that I was on a sick leave for a year. This illness is not easy but it will get better. Just hang in there. Hope all will be well with you soon.
Thanks. May I know please which vaccine you had?
My endocrinologist said "once your thyroid hormones and antibodies are back to normal it's safe to get vaccinated".…
Thanks! I am still under medication, my tsh is still suppressed,my t4 and t3 are in normal range now.
