Does anyone find that they suffer from nausea, really quick too, obviously I mean because you have fibromyalgia?
yes, I do..especially when I do not sleep properly and I get drowsy and dizzy, and this leads to nausea..and me having to go back to bed..for 10 minutes, then I'm fine.
Hello there Claire! Nausea symptoms are very common with Fibromyalgia sufferers. The nausea can be accompanied by dizziness, blurred vision, chilling, feeling faint and sweating. It is thought that at least 40% to 70% of sufferers have Fibromyalgia Nausea. They either have intense, mild, and moderate headache and vomiting. This is caused by a variety of reasons like migraine, constant travel, lack of rest and sleep, anxiety, fatigue, stress, or fear. If you feel nauseous and it becomes a problem to you, it's always best to mention it to your doctor who may prescribe treatment for it.
Thank you Libby and Izabel for your answers much obliged,
Actually, that's one symptom that I thought slipped me by, did'nt realize it even was one but I got it bad today for a while, and it's not like I'm able to eat loads of food or anything esp since I got fibromyalgia, but it's nearly gone now, thank's xxx
Hi claire, since having my 4th child 11yrs ago whilst pregnant suffered severe acid reflux and was on meds etc as the usual would not work. after having daughter i had to continue on lansoparole, then i have had 2 hernias since and so sometimes as much as i get hungry i can just look at food and feel sickly and same after eating ! I take my meds twice a day. I also have IBS so if you have Gastro problems aswell it is possible to feel sickly. or it could be dizzy spells.
Have you told the doctor of your sickly episodes (it is completely different to say a hangover feeling sick or being ill sickly) it is in the throat for me and acid and other bits lol xxxxxx i wake with headaches feeling sickly and 1st thing take my meds. takes a good half hour to kick in. xxx soft huggs xx
By really quick I meant having a small dinner and an hour later some custard and an hour after that feeling acid come up into your throat unexpectedly, really quick like, and feeling like you have to swallow it in case its sick, it went away withing 10 mins, but shocked me, have to say it has happened every few days, and not when I've been eating for a bit, because I find I can't eat big meals, esp now, so it's not that I've been stuffing myself, or anything.
I have diverticulosis which often turns into diverticulitis, and the doctor said last week that he is sending me into the hosp, (hope he meant as a day patient), for an urgent colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy, and endoscopy, because of intermittant bleeding, and because of low iron and medium enemia, (constant), and because of my recent occult test, so wish me luck, I'll say when I get the go ahead to go in, he put 'urgent', on the letter but said they may not do me urgently because I've had it at least 10 years, although it's worse lately. Wish me luck!, they better give me as many anesthetics as possible, because they did'nt last time, nearly 10 years ago when they diagnosed me, though I did'nt get an endoscopy before
Oh yes I get that too. The doctors gave me buccastem to take for the nausea. I also carry a bottle of flat juice (sports lite drink) to sip on which helps with it. x
Thank you Ermintrude, must try that and Fairycassie, have'nt told the doc about that yet, I was afraid he would send me for an endoscopy, which he is doing now anyway, and for some reason I feel awful since seeing the doctor last week, I thought it was because he was poking me so much ( still very sore after that) but I believe he may have exasperated my fibromyalgia, or gave me a very bad flare, you want to see me today, when I was out for a while, I've told everyone again, when I came back home in a taxi, that I was'nt going out again unless someone is with me, I'm not well enough and my (flip cant remember the word but that's why I cant rem the word was the same when out today) whatever was very embarassing, not at the time, could'nt care less but afterwards, sorry to be so confusing but that's just the way I felt, confused, God help me and God help us all xxx gentle hugs to everyone xxx Why cant' the ESA., examiners and the DLA examiners see us for what we are?
I was like that not being able to go out by myself. I didnt realise it till I went through to my friends one night by myself.
If the examiners could see how we were that would be way to simple. Ive actually been put off for applying from what Ive seen. Cause with me if its to be done Ill do it and suffer the consequences. So I will walk the 100 metres and further if I need to go do the shopping or whatever.
Hope today was better for you. x
Yes, getting nauseous quite alot lately, dont think its my meds as i hae been on them a while and its sort of come on in the lst few moths, also get the acid reflux qite bad that it burns the back of my throat and i have to drink mik to clm it down a bit. Didnt have this much nausea though in either of my pregnancies and i deffinatly am not pregnant, so another fibro symptom to add to the ever growing list i suppose, no wonder we all get depressed its never ending. I dont go out on my own either, last time i did, i fell and am now having to face surgery on my hand, i cant walk with out assistance or my crutches very well, Thanks for the few tips on here though i will give that juice a try, I was lucky if you can call it lucky when i had my esa medical exam i was in teh midst of a bad flare and i could not walk properly at all, sitting was an event on its own, and i had to have help doing all the things he asked me to do. I passed my exam, but i have to have one every year, and i get so worried about them that i think that is what makes me worse, wondering what sort of person i am going to see. I failed my very first one, he was just plain awful
Getting back to the original question though, sorry i couldnt help you, just wanted to let you know you were not alone in feeling this ((hugs)) x
Hi willow,
Thank's for replying, my episodes of sickness/nausea has mostly passed (ie. not as much), though I still get quite dizzy, and have to sit down after standing for a minute or two (too weak), (I also suffer from low iron and anemia and am starting to get all that investigated from next week, ie barium swallow next Tuesday, and then other stuff at the end of June, and my son is now going on messages for me and accompanying me on trips outside the house, because he more than anybody sees how confused I get (all the time), and he's trying to help me and organise everything, because he knows I forget everything in two mins, and you know what it's like, we're al the same.
You were lucky (in a way obviously), at the medical, that happened to me at my first, and I'd a runaway success because of it. But it is more usual for me to have an unusual healthy (feeling) day, so to speak, when I go to these flipping things, hence why I got my 'support' taken off me after my last medical in March, which I appealed, but also because the 'doctor' at the appeal tricked me a few times in her questions, the witch, wish they had a website where we al could write and tell them what we think of them, I wonder are you allowed to complain to them before you leave the room, about their questions, trickery, attitude etc etc you would wonder, I think we are all so upset inside anyway when they question you incessantly and make an egit out of you, because you really are not able for it at all, let me know if you see anywhere we can do something about it, ie complain.
take care and gentle hugs
