I have what I think is a silly question. With a natural or a modified FET, is it possible to also get pregnant from the egg you ovulate if you have sex? So you could end up with a multiple pregnancy?

natural or modified FET
I think yes for a natural. A completely natural doesn't involve any medications so your own hormones work as normal so in theory it can happen. For a modified or even a stimulated FET if I don't know but thinking that a follicle is growing one way or another, which will then release an egg, then if a competent sperm is there, then it seems possible. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can say for sure.
Hi, it may be different at different clinics, but with my clinic for a medicated FET they offered a down regulation injection before my period which would prevent ovulation and an egg releasing so there would be no egg to fertilise, you would only get pregnant if the transferred embryo implanted. Technically a multiple birth is still possible from the one embryo but unlikely. I didn’t take the injection and just had oestrogen and progesterone but they scanned to check the ovaries were quiet before transfer. The doctor said in 10% of cases an egg can still develop but if that had occurred they would ask me to administer a ganirelix injection to trigger its release. Hope that helps.
Yes it is, they say don't have sex during that cycle and let the transferred embryo do it's thing. I just did a natural cycle with progesterone at ovulation day, and got BFP on Monday! soooo shocked! Now for the waiting for the scan 2 weeks tomorrow. I know everyone is different but I felt so much better on this cycle because there are far less drugs.
YES!! I actually timed intercourse with ovulation and did FET, so my current pregnancy is a mystery. Not sure if healthy pregnancy yet as I just got my BFP. This is with a natural cycle FET not sure about modified, but if you ovulate then Yes!
