I have not tested for NK cells and have had one failed FET, I don’t have many rounds left and whilst my ERA came back with no infection I’ve been trying to figure out if I need to do anything else. I’ve read about prednisolone and some clinics give us standard. Last year I developed vitaligio which is what prompted me to look into this. It’s a small patch on my body, so that falls into autoimmune I guess.
I’m reaching out to ask any advice or experience, positive stories or otherwise. Should I push to have this added? Are the side effects really bad? What mg have you been prescribed? Anyone also tried it without NK cells diagnosis?
Any advice greatly appreciated, wishing everyone lots of baby dust, thank you xxx

Hi yes my clinic put me on 20mg for my last 2 transfers. You have it with breakfast as it can apparently cause sleep disturbance. I’ve not had any problems with it. Not had NK testing as I can’t deal with more delays. ERA was enough of a delay for me. I had no problems from taking it. Not got my positive yet.. 🤞🏼 x
Thanks so much for sharing, it’s so hard to know what to ask for and do sometimes. I’m glad to hear that you’ve not had any problems with it and all the best for a BFP soon xxx
I’ve taken 25mg during my last couple of rounds just in case. I’ve never bothered with the testing either as it’s expensive & time consuming & my clinic were satisfied I’d had enough failures to just try it anyway. No luck yet though. Side effects wise they give me really bad insomnia
Thanks so much for sharing, sorry to hear about the failures, this journey is not easy. I might ask for a lower dose to minimise side effects like insomnia, which I already suffer from occasionally. Wishing you a BFP soon xxx
I did get prednisolone for my lucky cycle (one fresh transfer: negative, one FET: positive), and I also have autoimmune diseases: some patches of vitiligo, plus Hashimoto's syndrome (so taking levothyroxine every day).
Hi, I was about to post about this. I also have hypothyroidism and take levo everyday. Not tested for NK cells and wanted to know about taking prednisolone as i know hypo can affect implantation. Congrats on the positive x
I was given it at my UK clinic, didn’t do NK testing either but doctor agreed it was worth a try. I was on 20mg. No side effects - but the transfer didn’t work….
I’ve now moved to a clinic in Czech, the doctor there wasn’t keen but I’ll ask again before doing another transfer .
Thanks for sharing and great you did not get any side effects. Sorry to hear that your transfer did not work, wishing you all the best for the next one x
hello I have used prednisolone it didn’t cause me any side effects on the lower dose at all. I had 60mg for 4 days before transfer that made me have funny dreams. Then down to 20 then down to 10. I took that until week 12 of pregnancy. No known underlying issues or nk cells we just put it in to the protocol after a few rounds hadn’t worked xxx
