Tips before embryo transfer

Hi, Wondering if anyone has any tips to thicken up the lining before embryo transfer. I have heard of pomegranate juice/tablets, coenzymeQ10. The clinic has said not to take DHEA. Any thing that anyone else has tried and worked? Does pomegranate juice really work?

Hi, I have heard there are benefits of beetroot juice and Brazil nuts in addition to the things you've listed

Thanks Abby. Was that ready made pomogranate juice. Would you recommend a particular brand. Looks like they even do pomegranate extract at Holland and Barratt. Not heard of hibiscus tea. Will look into these xx

I used L-Arginine powder and it worked really well. I was shocked. I checked with my FS first and he had no problem. I couldn’t get it from the chemist and had to get it from a body building supplement store. My lining was 12mm.

Good luck! 🤞🏼

I should add, actually, that it’s not recommended to take L-arginine before egg retrieval if you’re doing a fresh cycle. You should only use it to build up the lining if you’re doing a frozen embryo transfer. There is one study that says it can impact the eggs retrieved, so better to save L-arginine for FETs, or after the embryo has been transferred.

Had pomegranate juice first thing in the morning (it is super sour so just half a glass is fine, it build up a nice uterine lining) had it for a good free days before transfer and continued till day 5 ish after transfer. 2-3 Brazil nuts every day after transfer (releases an enzyme that helps with implantation) Generally good protein and honestly the one thing I did was totally chill and relax, trashy but entertains tv and believed with all my heart that this will work! 💞

This is something Ive really struggled with - so every cycle I throw everything at it:- pomegranate juice (I drink it with sparkling water as its so sour)

- beetroot juice

- brazil nuts

- raspberry leaf tea (but you must stop a few days before transfer)

-raspberry leaf supplements (as above)

- accupuncture

- long walks

- hot water bottles

What medication are you on?

They can increase your progynova (I have 2mg 3x day)

I also have 2 x estrogen patches every 3 days

1 x Aspirin per day

2 x Viagra per day (supposed to get the blood flowing to the womb)

Good luck xx

Hi Mglove

I am have just started an FET transfer and I decided to:

2 Brazil nuts a day

Rasberry leaf tea

Pom juice and beetroot juice

Castor oil packs from tomorrow (cycle day 5)

I have also been going to accupunture every week for around 8 weeks now so hoping that has helped (who knows!)

Have you started your FET cycle already this month? Be good to have a cycle buddy!

X

Thanks Klady123. Great to hear. Your plan sounds great. I am due to start the hormones for the FET in around 2 weeks. Best of luck for your FET cycle. Sending you lots of good wishes xxx
