Just needing some input. I’ve been diagnosed with NASH....my liver enzymes are currently AST 134- ALT 227. My fibrosis stage is F1-F2, which is still minimal, but necroinflammatory activity is 0.73 (A3) which indicates severe activity. Can this be reversed with proper diet and exercise? I’m not obese, slightly overweight 5’4” at 145 lbs. I’ve cut out ALL alcohol and have been taken off my Humira for my psoriasis. I’ve been referrer to a gastroenterologist, but just looking to hear some others experience with this disease.
Thanks in advance for any and all input!

Hi, Mimi,About 1 year ago I was diagnosed with Stage 3 liver fibrosis resulting from NASH. I was told to change my lifestyle to include daily exercise, to watch my diet and avoid processed foods, sugars, and things like chips (modified Mediterranean was the suggestion). You are at a stage where with weight loss and diet modification you can actually reverse your fibrosis to a normal range. Mine is a lot harder to do but I am trying. Don't be afraid. People with our condition can live many, many years, especially at your stage. Do take action now, though, so yours does not advance to my stage (and it will if you don't take care).
I hope this helps. There are wonderful websites out there to help.
