I just wondered if anyone has had any negative experiences when stopping zoladex injections and HRT?
I've been on zoladex for around 8 months now but my moods have become so extreme on them and I've still been bleeding severe on them I've decided to stop to see how I get on.
I had my last injection a month ago and recently stopped my HRT. The last few days have been awful, headaches, joint pain, body shakes, terrible stomach cramps and upset stomach. I'm wondering if it's my body going cold turkey, I don't know if it can have that affect on you?
I feel so drained and exhausted.

I stopped prostap and hrt recently. I stopped the hrt when my next injection was due ie when the prostap should have worn off. Then all the side effects were amplified and my periods haven't properly returned so guess its still in my system. Nothing too unmanageable but the hrt defo did something. I had my first hot flushes and my hair became much weaker (I've been taking hair gummies since). My migraines stopped though!
If you can ask a dr/endo nurse when they think you should stop the hrt.
Perhaps best yo stop zoladex first then gradually lower your HRT as your ovaries fire back up bia the pituitary gland. It can take up to 3 to 4 months to feel better x I'd try that approach x
