Had 6 sbo in the last 4 years last surgery was February to remove adhesions took 5 hours and now pain has returned again so fed up and at the end of my tether 😢😢😢

Hi

It depends on whether they removed adhesions or split them. Most of the time they split them rather than actually get rid of them. Seems stupid to me, last surgery I told the general surgeon I wanted any adhesions removed and find out via gastro that they only got split. I had them round the liver, still think I’ve got some round small bowel, either that or Endo.

It’s hard to judge if you should have another op, they say more ops cause more adhesions, I’m not totally convinced, I think old ones knit back together unless removed but I’m no expert.

Hope you get something sorted soon and feel better
