Not sure if anyone has has similar experiences at all but I've had monthly prostap jabs for maybe 8 or 9 months now for endometriosis. Good news, no pain. Bad news, everything else.
I've always been very sensitive to hormone treatments and anything related so I was quite glad to be having prostap. I had HRT with it for the first few months but it cause migraines which I hated, so I'm just having the jabs without the HRT.
What I've noticed is that I seem to be getting poorly when it comes time for the next jab - so a few days before I seem to feel fatigued, headachy (but not migraine) weak and just under the weather. I can't work out whether this is a coincidence, whether I have another issue (say for example with my left ear which doesn't feel right), whether I need to go back on HRT, or whether this is something j just have to live with while on prostap.
I've tried speaking with doctors but just get rushed telephone conversations with are no fun at all and provide no real answers.
Has anyone else had a similar experience of fatigue etc when coming up to the next prostap jab? Any help would be amazing!

Its such a coincidence to see this post today. I am having tests done for fatigue low white blood cells, headaches etc. The consultant I saw yesterday said it could be my injections (I have had 13). She is the first person to actually look at the combination of medication I am on and make that suggestion. As well as doing some more tests she is writing to my gynaecologist to get him to review things as he has basically ignored me for the last 6 months 😂It could be we just dont suit this kind of treatment?
Yes!! I'm sorry glad you've got a doctor that gets that. I'm sure all my meds are just messing with each other which is why I went down to nothing. My problem is, is that no doctor will actually talk to me properly about it. For example, I've just been prescribed antibiotics for an ear infection, which I'm fairly sure is inner ear and therefore won't be helped by antibiotics. But I'm literally just about to leave for my next prostap so if I do feel better I wont know if its antibiotics or the prostap. I'm so fed up.
I have been on prostap for 12 months now, and the days leading up to my next injection I become ‘unwell’ sometimes I cannot even decide what is wrong with me.
I spoke to my specialist regarding it, and my nurse. And they both said they believe it is my injection wearing off.
The longer I have been on it, the sooner it starts. My body is becoming immune to the injections now, this is my last one before my op.
So now at 12 months, a whole week before I’m tired, I ache, I have tummy ache, leg ache, back ache etc.
What youve described is exactly how I've been feeling, so thank you for letting me know its not just me! Got my next prostap in an hour so fingers crossed!!
I felt great after my first two injections, moods were so much better, no bleeding and little pain! Third month I started with pain again and feeling genuinely unwell. I’m currently on my four injection and I feel horrific! I’ve developed eczema on my eyes, which I have never had before and I feel like I am literally dragging my body around! Every part of my body aches! It may be a coincidence but by GP thinks it’s all down to prostap!
