Pain!

Morning everyone,

My pain is ruling my life 😢. Every morning I wake up in pain. I was in hospital Thursday because the pain was so bad, I asked the doctor to remove my coil because that’s when my pain has got worse and she could not remove it 😢

She sent me home saying there was nothing else she could do and just carry on taking painkillers.

Then when I got back to the car she rang me saying she had just looked at my scan from when I went into hospital in December with the same pain, she asked me to go back in and stay over night so she could scan me in the morning or I could go home and come back the next day for scan. Which is what I did. They found my cyst on my left has grown from 5cm to 7cm in a month and that I gave fluid in my left tube. The doctor I saw said she did not want to remove my coil because she thinks it’s helping stopping more growing. All she told me to do was take tramadol, which I did yesterday and all I did was sleep most the day. Ment to be having a family day out today to the cinema but I can’t even do that!! My pain is just too bad!! I have been up since half 6 taken 1 codine, 1 naproxen and 2 paracetamol, have a heat pad on but nothing is stopping the pain!!

I’m so lost. Xx

Oh my, sounds horrible. What's the plan regarding the cyst? Surly they need to remove it.

I'm also stuck in pain which has only just dawned on me that it's not normal!! I have pain when I walk, sit and use the toilet. Dr on Friday gave me anti inflammatory but they haven't done much to help as I'm still in pain. Not sure what to do. It's getting me down.

Wishing you relief soon xx

I’m meeting my new endo consultant in February so they have just said they will leave it till then see what that doctor says to do. I hope you get something to help with your pain. Thank you xx

That's terrible. One of the side effects of the coil is it can cause cysts to form! Plus I was told years ago that they remove cysts once they exceed 5 cm. Is it a 'simple' cyst (fluid) or an endometrioma? I got my coil removed on Thursday and already noticed an improvement in my pain levels. Is there anyway your GP can help expidite your gynae appt as you are in such pain?

It’s a endometrioma. It’s worried me how much it’s grown in a month to be honest. I think that the coil is the main thing causing my pain but it seems like no1 is listening to me. No everyone is like oh it’s not that long to wait till your appointment it’s only 3 weeks! I’m kinda like I can barely get through a day at the moment I have been signed off work for 2 weeks and no way I can go back next week. I’m so fed up, it’s really getting me down. Xx

I'm so sorry :( it's hard to explain the awful pain unless someone has experienced it themselves. I hope you can at least get signed off sick till your appt with the gynaecologist. XX
