Ablation and increased pain.

Sorry for the long post, I'm new on here and just need a rant. Have had heavy, frequent and very painful periods on and off since I was 14 (now almost 47) In my teens I used to frequently blackout with the pain and was put on the pill at 15 to try and help.

Over the years I've been diagnosed with PCOS, (had ovarian drilling for it) Menorrhagia, and now finally Endometriosis. I've had a hysteroscopy (twice) laparoscopy (twice) had my cervix cauterised (THAT was an experience!) and had a couple of D & C's followed by an Ablation in February 2015.

Am starting to wish I'd never had the Ablation done.

Although the bleeding is greatly reduced (which is fantastic!!) my pain has increased gradually as time has gone on and is now unbearable. Am currently having the period from hell - this is the most blood loss I've had since the ablation and the worst pain!! I feel like dying would be the better option right now as I just can't cope any more.

GP's not a lot of help and can't get in to see consultant until after I've had another lap - the lap has already been cancelled twice this year already and I'm provisionally booked in for 8th April (they won't confirm until 4 weeks before in case surgeon books more holiday!!)

I'm taking Zapain and Naproxen (max dose of both) and most days it's not even taking the edge off of the pain. I keep bursting into tears over nothing, feel tired, seem to be having a lot of headaches too, nauseous (off of a lot of foods) and just don't know what to do with myself. Can't sleep for the pain, even going to the toilet is painful. Have just had enough. Sorry for the long whinge but needed to get it all off my chest and thought you'd all understand and that maybe some of you have had similar experiences.

Is the pain coming from a particular area? Has there been any discussion about hysterectomy in your case? It seems particularly severe what you're dealing with X

Pain is usually lower stomach going into groin, plus lower back and going down right leg through buttocks. Occasionally into back of both legs. The buttock/leg pain takes my breath away and is very debilitating in respect of sitting/standing/walking etc as absolute agony, feels like being stabbed and burnt form the inside out.

Hysterectomy has been mentioned a future possibility but not recently. What I'm experiencing now is the worst I've ever had x

It sounds awful what you're dealing with, I hope your lap brings some relief. X
