Stable GFR

We are all aware that kidney function decreases as we age.

I am ckd 3. GFR 53. Creatine 1.32.

Dr. thinks cause of damage is NSAIDS.

Looking at my previous labs.

I have been this level since at least 2012.

I am doing all that I can to retain my level.

I also know that GFR fluctuations are normal.

Is there anyone out here that has remained at a stable level for more than 10 years.

I had nephroticmy in 2007 and since then my eGFR had been around 44. My Creatinine level is around 134 umol/l. I am also diabetic and hypertensive. So it’s possible to maintain stable eGFR by controlling your diet and with some moderate exercise.Obviously I have to take several medications to control my other symptoms.

Hi,I'm just turning 40 and my egfr has roughly stayed around 38 for about 6 years. Mine is caused by some random autoimmune thing so I did have a treatment called Rituximab about 18 months ago which might be helping. My diet is rubbish...I've struggled with an eating disorder most of my adult life,so I've not been great at following a kidney frisky diet. But somehow maintained my egfr at this level.
