”Our full-length, 60-min documentary tells the personal stories of five individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and highlights the New Zealand research effort to develop therapies that can stop or slow disease progression. It also breaks down some of the myths and misunderstandings surrounding Parkinson’s disease. A cure is a very real possibility, it is just a matter of when.
We’re very proud and extremely grateful to all those involved in sharing their personal stories to help educate other New Zealanders on this emerging pandemic. Help us to accelerate the timeframe towards a cure by joining us in our mission and supporting research done the Kiwi way because sadly their stories may also become your story.
Please join our mission, support our dream, and provide people living with Parkinson’s, as well as all those who will one day go on to be diagnosed with Parkinson’s, the hope they deserve as we work towards finding a cure.”

Hi fellow Cantabrian! I have also posted the link to this doco. It sounds like our researchers will be able to find a substantial treatment if not a cure if they can carry on with the research. My husband has signed up to donate his brain to the brain bank. As the researchers say, we don’t want mouse brains! We need human brains to study, I thought it was one of the most promising things that I have learnt in a long time with regard to ‘we may find a cure’. And we are not controlled by big pharma as far as I know, so no big conglomerate to find something then bury it,,,,
We are 40 min outside of Chch. Have you attended any of the Aspire talks at Braintree? The one on 13th May 10-12pm is from Simon Challis on Nutrition. He’s involved with Nutrient Rescue etc and has PD, we are looking forward to that one, I attend with my husband. Braintree is a fantastic place, nice cafe, parking etc, lovely people.
Hi yes we went to a talk there but it is across town from us and all the info at the one I went to was quite basic stuff I learned 6 years ago. We have been taking the nutrient rescue for a few months now . Unfortunately I have visitors staying that day so can’t get to that talk but I would have liked to go to that one and meet Simon.
