With the Buntanetap phase III trial dosing ending soon, I noticed that Annovis Bio stock is dropping like a rock. It is at a 52 week low. This makes me wonder if results are being leaked, and they are not promising. I hope I am wrong, and this is not another sham, but I can’t help but think about Annovis and the failed AD drug trial. Same thing happened, the stock value dropped sharply.

Annovis Bio Buntanetap
I believe they are in need of additional financing which is also a possible reason for the decline
but if Buntanetap works and the phase 3 trial is successful, it should be no problem to get money from investors.
I personally put a lot of hope in this drug.
Unfortunately, there are not many promising phase 3 studies.
This year I also had the feeling that not much has happened in research (pharmaceutical industry).
Here a new Youtubevideo from me...
Of course a good Phase 3 result would make all the difference in raising money. However, as it stands now they will run out of money by the end of the year. So if they're waiting for the result before raising $, analyzing the data will be a race against time, with dire consequences if the result is a disappointment.
With all that said, as pointed out below, the action in the biotech index fully explains the price action.
wow, you are doing great🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿
Have you been in their trial?
Hiw long have you had PD?
prospective investors are reading anecdotes on this forum.
The entire biotech sector is down at the moment. The relevant index (XBI) is almost as low as it was during the Covid panic. I don’t think there is much to read into it.
I’m in the Trial and have seen no benefits but maybe I’m on a placebo or too low a dose. Hard to know
I’m in the trial and have seen significant improvements
I did too! I have been off since July and definitely see a difference. I am really hoping for open label extension!!
So am I. I’m afraid to go off!
What improved?
Not dragging Right foot anymore, almost normal R arm swing, some more sense of smell, I can handwrite again, less R shoulder pain and some less tremor (unless under stress)
my response is almost identical. Probably the most significant change for me was getting an arm swing back again after seven or eight years of not having one! I had less tremor and I had virtually no off times. My score dropped from an 18 to an 8. And 8 is what it was at diagnosis! I felt better, I had more energy and I was exercising. Now that I am off I am definitely having off times and I’m actually looking to add something to my medication’s to supplement. One odd factor for me… I am a younger woman with Parkinson’s (52). I had been in perimenopause and had not had a cycle for two years. I started having cycles the month after the trial started and had my last cycle right as the trial ended. 🤷♀️
I was in the trial. Objectively at the end of the trial my C/L does was reduced by my neuro. Now an appointment 3 months post study, I am under medicated. Subjectively my sense of smell improved. In 3 months since, bradykinesia has worsened, mood and anxiety have worsened.
I would definitely do an open label trial
i am in the trial also and have not seen any improvement or difference
Bio tech in general has been dropping like a rock. It has more to do with the availability of capital and interest rates since most biotech don’t have positive cash flow. To raise operating cash they generally issue shares which dilutes the value of shares in the short term.
True but if the product is a killer then that stock price is going to hold up much better than its peers because it will justify access to capital, and you will get this with the price indicator called "RP," which stands for relative performance. If rp is above 70 it's a good sign, and if it's above 80 it's a very good sign.
It was never promising to me
Actually stock price action over time is not a bad indicator.
They are planning a mid-November earnings release and update. Fingers crossed!
