ALT is an inflammation marker - yours isn'tall that high - doctors only get worried when such bloods reach 3 to 4 times upper limit of normal and yours is only about double. If you've been told you have fatty liver then that's what it is and its time to take it very seriously before long term damage is done.
The BLT has some wonderful resources on Non Alcohol Related Fatty Liver Disease and appropriate diet on the following pages and you can even download an excellent booklet. If alcohol is in any way involved then the same dietary advice stands but with the added need to get rid of the booze too.
No alcohol apart for occasional glass of wine every few months. In the past two years I can count on my hand how many drinks I’ve had. ( I was pregnant so didn’t drink and have had one or two since he’s been born)
I have ulcerative colitis so could be due to my medication or my rapid weight gain and eating like a pig in pregnancy. Xxx
