Specialist appointment

Hi

I was diagnosed with compensated cirrhosis in August last year and ended up in ICU for due to contracting sepsis while being admitted to hospital and as such had intensive care for sepsis and lmy liver. I have had 2 visits to the specialist luver nurse and was reassessed to compensated irrhodis in December 2023.

Two weeks ago I had another ultrasound this time for lesions, I have had about t in total now and the radiologist advised nothing was obvious nut would be looked at in more detail.

I also had blood tests at my doctor for stiffness and all the results including LFT's came back normal.

I now have and appointment with a Doctor who specialises in gstro/liver in March.

Given the time until the appointment I am hopeful that things are still doing well.

This is a long post but I am.posting to share my hopefulness and gratitude that I may have a second chance with things as when I was disgnosed with cirrhosis I thought it was a death sentence. Sending my best wishes to everyone on this forum

That's great news. Can I ask what your liver stiffness KPA score was before and were definitely diagnosed with Cirrohosis or did they get it wrong due to other health issues happening in unison?

I am sure they goyy it right but due to the sepsis that was treated and then regulating my bloods the fibrosis scan was done start of December about 8 weeks after hospital admission and I believe the fibrosis test was 7.9 and fatty liver was within normal range but I can't remember the score now.

I had intensive care for about 3 weeks in ICU so that might have helped my numbers but I will know more when I see the specialist
