I’m sorry to hear that Cfmol. Hopefully others will post who may have had the same experience and can give you some insight. I hope they’re taking good care of your husband and that he isn’t in hospital too long.
Hi Cfmol, I have cirrhosis and prone to accrute kidney injury (AKI), most times I can manage the AKI by drinking plenty of water and low salt diet, but I take spirolactone (diuretic) that puts pressure on my kidneys so sometimes have to reduce the dose until my kidneys are better again. Does he take a diuretic as this could negatively impact his kidneys, it’s a fine balancing act.
Thanks for ur reply yes he takes 80mg of furosemide they have stopped it, his kidney function was 36 on Wednesday pass and they gave him a iv drip of fluid done a scan that was clear and sent him home, he got bloods repeated on Friday morning and no improvement so he has an app for this Wednesday with a specialist hope tgere is done improvement
