stages of liver disease
Hopefully your doctor is sending you to a hepatologist (liver specialist) rather than haemotologist (blood specialist). Once you've seen the liver doctor they should be able to let you know better what is going on. It's good news if most of your liver bloods are normal in that it shows no sign of decompensation but it's possible your fatty liver disease has progressed. Have you been taking any steps to help your fatty liver post diagnosis with that? The British Liver Trust has some excellent guidance on treating NAFLD with healthy diet and exercise at:- britishlivertrust.org.uk/do...
If your liver isn't totally cirrhotic there is potentially still the ability to reverse some of the damage done and certain prevent progression.

thank you for reply no I havnt been taking any steps to improve my weight but since finding this out I don’t think at the moment I could eat anything rubbish it’s made me not want to eat
I agree 100%, it is far easier to adjust your lifestyle and diet when you still are still in the position where there are choices and not an absolute necessity.
my advice is stay off the internet searches until you have seen the specialist and discussed your situation, it just creates more anxiety. Try and eat a healthy diet, vegetables and a little fruit, cut out sugar and eat some good fats in small amounts, butter, cheese yogurt) no hydrogenated oils or fats and lots of water. If you’re a coffee fan that can have some benefits also. walk a little each day if you can and learn some relaxation techniques. sending well wishes for a positive outcome.
I cannot answer that question I am not a medical expert but I do know no matter what your health status is following a natural (no processed food) and healthy diet goes a long way to improve any health issue. Toxins and chemicals and highly processed food is the catalyst for almost everything (minus genetics etc) that causes inflammation and illness. The liver has to filter all that rubbish so is in overdrive constantly if you add alcohol into the mix it’s even harder for your liver to keep up. I am sure if you speak with your doctor and get on the right track nutritionally you will be in a much better place. Xx
