What is FEC 100 and FEC 90?

FEC has three drugs - 5 Fluorouracil, Epirubicin and Cyclophosphamide. The dosage of all cancer drugs is calculated in terms of dose per metre square of body. Epirubicin can be given as 100 mg/m2 or 90 mg/m2. The 90 and 100 in FEC stands for the dose of Epirubicin. The medical oncologist decides what dose would be ideal for his patient.
