I have been on 2.5mg felodipine for a good couple of years, it’s a different make every time a prescription is dispensed.
The last lot I got was Teva Folpik and have been really poorly with burning and pins and needles sensation throughout the body, itching, feeling nauseous, dry mouth, abdominal pain to mention a few.
Due to the rise in my BP the doctor has doubled the dose. I’m wondering if the Teva brand has caused all the symptoms
I had to ask the chemist not to issue me with Teva Levothyroxine as I had a bad reaction to it.
Has anyone else had any reactions to this brand of felodipine

No-ones replied to you so perhaps you are Alone! But if that was me I would be straight round to the pharmacist asking for his views on this. Many pharmacists are very knowledgeable and indeed some help hospital consultants with prescribing.
Thanks so much for responding, I have a note on the chemists file not to dispense Teva Levothyroxine 25mg I will be seeing the chemist to put another note on about Teva felodipine, I’ve also put in a report to the yellow card scheme. At least there’s something on this site in case anyone else has problems thanks again
Well, 11 months down the line your post has been wonderful to read, thank you and you are not alone !After a long absence from here I've just logged on to see if it's possible that anyone has experienced what I appear to be doing this week and I've found your post.
After some years of Ramipril and the addition of other options I was recently prescribed Felodipine too....this is my 3rd bi-monthly prescription and the first of Teva's, this is my 5th day and my body is experiencing many disturbing symptoms. Will be contacting GP and pharmacist tomorrow.
Did you find a solution that eliminated any reactions and reduced your hbp ?
yes I changed doctors and they changed me to Candestarten and fingers crossed I have had no reactions and the doctor agreed that it was because of the side effects my blood pressure was going up. Now I’m on Candestarten I’m only on 4mg and doing fine, hope you find a solution, it took me ages but eventually I got there
