Just wanted to thank everyone for all there helpful suggestions and just being there to listen to me when I need you! My GP was very nice and she assured me that if it was heart related that I would have the pain in the front of the my chest right in the middle and not at the side in my back. She said its probably inflammation so I have gel for that and I am now back on omeprozole all the time now for my gastric issues they had got bad didn't even realise, pain in ribs, tight chest, breathless wow. So very happy with how the appointment went she really listend to what I said and assured me that's what they are there for and I can always go when ever I have any concerns made me feel so much better! ❤️. Thanks again guys!

At the surgery I go to the doctors I have seen can't do enough for you!
I have a good thing going with one of the young male doctors who agrees with me how the papers and news exaggerate with these stories and how gossip always has something else added to it!
You are indeed fortunate to actually see a GP! I have neither seen nor spoken to my GP for a few years now. In common with all practices in my area e-consult is the only way to access treatment. My GP communicates with me only by text messages, which have no reply facility! When you book a blood test there is a 4-week wait, despite the fact that the surgery is empty when you turn up for your eventual appointment. There may be both good and bad areas for GP services throughout the country, but from my experience and that of many people I know the reports in the media are no exaggeration. I would advise you never to move!!
Back in March when I needed a blood test the receptionist said to me it was a 3 week wait and when I needed a repeat one in the May just before I moved it was a 3 week wait as well and thankfully that one was perfect with no problems there!
Back in September I had booked a 5pm gp appointment and didn't get seen until 5.30pm.
At our surgery for the afternoon appointments they release them on a Monday morning and you can book online and sort out a time that's convenient for you personally!
I was frightened when I received a text at the start of May saying that the March blood test needed repeating and one of my friends who goes to swimming who works in phlebotomy reassured me that if anything was seriously wrong they would have had me in the surgery right away not wait a few weeks and how it was a problem in the lab rather than with me personally so I did the repeat one in May just before I moved with no problems!
Thankfully I won't need anymore blood tests for a while now!
Ahh thanks hun yeah I'm well glad they took me seriously especially about the acid reflux and how bloated I get! 💔. The back pain isn't helping on top of everything else 😢. Hope your ok x
So very glad you were able to have a proper discussion with the doctor. It helps enormously when we feel we are listened to. Hope you will feel much better soon xx
Pleased you had a good appointment. However my angina pain comes in my stomach, neck, jaw, centre back and shoulder blades. The worse the attack the more areas it covers. I rarely have pain in my chest!
Amazing how much better you can immediately feel when you get the right person who will listen to you isnt it.So glad that you are feeling better mentally and hopefully the new medication will help the physical symptoms quickly. Wishing you well.
Good morning. So pleased you got a doctor that was prepared to listen to you and your symptoms and concerns 1st. Hope that the new medication helps you. Brian
Hi, that's great I hope you get relief now. it makes such a difference when you get a doctor that will listen to you and make the right decisions re treatment. Char
You got the same meds as me I couldn't do without my omeprazole and the pyroxican gel is great too The trouble is when you have more than one thing wrong its impossible to know which pain comes from where Hope you feel a lot better in a few days
Ah wow was you suffering from same symptoms?? It wears off quick though the gel in it. And the back pain wakes me up it hurts. Thanks hun I hope i do too I will be mentioning everything to my consultant anway even though it probably isn't heart related. X
Yes I am 76 and have acid reflux with a sliding hiatus hernia , arthritis ,fibromyalagia rotator cuff injury etc so am used to the pain from both but once my heart joined in I had severe aortic valve problem until I had my op it was difficult to work out what pain was what and my brain started to think every pain was my heart although logically I knew it wasn't The cardiologist tried to reassure me and I gradually got used to working out what pain was what Yes definitely talk to your cardiologist about it
Oh wow you sound like me! Well apart from the hitias hernia and fibromialgia ( basically, back pain acid reflux and severe aortic regurgitation) I haven't had surgery and can't help but think it's related to heart? Will see if in 10 days pain is gone? I have appointment on 21st so will mention to them anyway x
Good luck Let us all know if you are feeling better and what Doc says The Omeprozole will be working by the time of your app and personally I find when my stomach is upset I feel dreadful so hopefully you will feel improved by the time you see him
