So I had a heart attack when a little over 10 years ago now. It was not a big one and thankfully the great people at St George's Hospital picked this up and saved me by inserting 1 stent.
The question I have is regarding life and health insurance.
Can anyone recommend any Insurers who would be willing to insure me?
Health wise I am fit as a fiddle!
I am hoping there are providers out there who would insure me and also hoping this will help others out there in this forum wondering the same thing.
Best wishes to you all

No other meds like a statin considering you had a narrowed/blocked artery. Also your age at treatment has an effect. If it occurs under 40 it flags up inherited high cholesterol or very poor dietary choices.
Yes I tried getting Life Insurance after having one stent. Iām apparently uninsurable. Sadly it is the case that Life Insurance Companies are a business and their aim is naturally to make money, as is the case for any business.
We may āpay inā over however many years we have post cardiac issues however, in the minds of an insurance company, we are likely to pay in so much less than they are likely to pay out.
This leads to most insurance company saying no. Very unfortunate for us but very much expected from them.
As a lifelong Type I diabetic health and life insurance has always been an issue for me. I had to take out life insurance for my first mortgage and it took a lot of work to get cover. You need to do your own research as every case is differentAge, smoker/ex-smoker, etc. all affect acceptance and premiums. Having joined the Hearties Club I am basically now uninsureable.
For health and redundancy cover I was quoted only Ā£50 less than the mortgage repayments so I said "eff you" and never bothered. A non-diabetic friend got cover and when she was made redundant found on the small print that the size of the lump sum excluded her from a payout! "Money for nothing! Get outs for free!"
Thatās a very interesting point re health and redundancy-enough to make me Want to check my small print. Thank you for the prompt!!!! Would not hurt to get all my policies and actually read them.
I have H/F & high BP, insurance quotes were ridiculous with very little return, so decided to buy a funeral package instead. Piece of mind for me & my family. If prices rise it doesn't change the price I paid, regardless of how long I last.
