Good song - in 1970. By 2012 somewhat embarrassing! I like to remember my music idols in their pomp, not as some sort of tribute band - if only he hadn't done so much drugs he could be sitting by the fire now rather than touring!- Just saying!

Yes, some lyrics do date. Eric Burdon and the Animals "When I Was Young" was a great song in the day. I would not post it as his actions at ten and thirteen would get the post reported. I imagine the hit rate on YouTube is soaring! 😀

I'd gladly have shared those Merlot with you (and the Grand Cru) - but we took all three bottles as host/hostess gifts to a pair of Boxing Day Brunches and a Supper. Fully acknowledged as 're-gifted' owing to my husband being tee-total.

We've been completely enjoying our 'Festive Season'. Christmas was lovely and we're looking forward to Hogmanay tonight (on the telly and a live-stream from Stonehaven via a friend's device).

Fantastic! I don't care what might be said about it being dated, those guys were and still are brilliant, as well as being a massive influence on tons of music that came after them. I finally went to see them in Brum on the last gig, shame good old bill couldn't have made it but JHB's lad did a tremendous job in his place. I do wonder if my ticket for Ozzy is ever going to get used though!!!

I think very much depends on the full extent of his recovery after that fall! A full tour is very different to a doing a few selected venues with weeks/months in between. Hopefully you will get to use your ticket! 😎
