I had a cardiac arrest in June2018, currently have six stents and I am on fairly high doses of Ramipiril, Bisoporol, Atorvastatin,Isosoride mononitrate, Ranolozine, Asprin as well as Metformin, Insulin and Victoza for type 2 diabetes.
I am getting quite a lot of heart burn as well as a pain that radiates from the centre of my chest and down my left arm, sometimes GTN spray and Gaviscon resolve the issue and sometimes they do not.
Should I be concerned?

Hi Lee. I’d def suggest you speak to your doctor about this. It’s probably nothing but you never know. In terms of heartburn - it could be that the aspirin in conjunction with other meds is irritating your stomach. You might need a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) like Lansoprazole to control the stomach acid.
Ask for a medicine review , There is a lot of research being published showing that diabetes (type 2) can be stopped, reversed and pushed into total remission. The most recent report involved a survey of just under half a million people and identified the way forward and has been much discussed in the Daily Mail and the Times (Tuesday) newspaper this week. The report identified very high success rates (50%) for those who stayed with the diet changes, as against only 5% who stayed with the pills. After 2 years 70% were still in remission from diabetes
Have a look at the 'Newcastle' diet which runs at about 1200 calories a day, or Dr Mosely's 800 diet plan. Read up about the Mediterranean diet and the low carb diets. Bear in mind that not all doctors are up to date in treatment for this condition which is based on a relatively small group of people in 2017, reinforced by a survey of nearly half a million published at the European Society of Cardiology Annual congress.
I have seen this approach work with 2 of my acquaintances. It is not easy and requires a lot of ' I won't eat that, but I will eat this'. I was astounded to see that their blood pressure and cholesterol levels rapidly came back into a normal range as well.
