Adrenalin surge

Hello, I have come to the conclusion that my rather sudden problems with raised blood problems are a side effect of a rush of adrenolin. I stopped citalopram due to ectopic heart beats but now I get sudden hot flushes, night sweats and my blood pressure shoots up. It's a bit like a panic attack for no reason.

I now have to take Ramipril and Propanolol. I feel so much worse now. Can we have too much adrenalin in our bodies and can it be tested? Thanks you all in this forum.

P.s. I'm way past the menopause.

I do not think this is the cause of your issues. One of the drugs, Propranolol, is a beta blocker. These work by blocking the action of adrenaline so an adrenaline high is extremely unlikely.

You need to go back to your GP. There are many types of BP medication so maybe the two of you need to find the most suitable ones.
