Many of the over counter remedies that dry up a cold by their action raise blood pressure - probably not advisable. Typically for a cold paracetamol maybe with some lozenges if you have a sore throat is fairly standard practice. Why not have a chat with your pharmacist?

Proper flu is a serious condition and not to be confused with a very heavy cold. If you think you have it chat to your GP practice or 111.

hi, modern over the counter drugs for cold and flu are what is called vasoconstrictors. Ramapril is a vasodilator (not sure of the path). if you vascular system is tight then your blood pressure is higher if you vascular system is relaxed then your blood pressure is lower. therefore dilators lower and constrictors higher blood pressure

I am in this situation so I ask my pharmasist everytime. normal reply is simple lintus and paracetamol

Dont publicise this do they!
