Hi guys! I’m taking Flucloxacillin 4x daily for a infection, the first day I was absolutely fine and my first 2 doses today were fine, after my third today I feel really nauseous to the point if I went through to the bath room I’m almost certain I would throw up. Should I call my Dr is this normal? It’s been FOREVER since I’ve had to take antibiotics, hoping it subsides 😭 xxx

Hi HealthanxietygirlxoIt seems to be a common reaction to the antibiotic both the nausea, vomiting
and diarrhea. Please call your doctor if it continues. Feel better xx
Hey thank you for replying, so with these tablets you’re suppose to take them on an empty stomach, as I slept a bit later today my pattern was all messed up and I think I took my dose to early after eating my dinner and this is why I felt nauseous, it has subsided now but I felt terribly short of breath after but I’m not sure if this was down to my anxiety which happens often for me! It’s calming down now I think just dreading my last dose incase it happens again, having health anxiety things like this put me off 🥺
If you’ve had an unexpected reaction to medication, you should call your doctor. Make sure you read the directions correctly…does it advise food on your stomach before taking it? A lot of people will do better after eating. Even plain bread or crackers is good. Make sure you haven’t lowered your fluid intake. Take it at the same time each day.

Always contact your Medical provider about weird stuff that happens with the medicine. Good luck
